Teach young children about the importance of keeping our communities clean with the help of the Community Clean Up Sensory Bin! Not only does this bin provide hours of fun while teaching about being environmentally clean, but the materials used provides stimulation to multiple senses, especially the sense of smell, sound, and touch!

Focus:

  • Community

  • Environmental education

  • Grouping & Sorting

  • Fine motor skills

Materials Needed:

  • Large plastic sensory tub

  • Cacao shells

  • Stretchy tube sensory toy

  • Toy wooden rake

  • Wooden spoon

  • Small plastic cups

  • Environmental protection sanitation truck toy

  • Toy trash bins

  • Garbage sorting cards

Sense of Smell

Fill the bin with cacao shells to stimulate your child’s nose. This pleasant smell adds a new dimension to the sensory bin!

Sense of Sound & Touch

Listen as the shells run down the stretchy tube sensory toy to make the most interesting sounds. The stretchy tube toy is also a fun fidget toy that pops, stretches, and connects, making it the perfect toy for young children.

Garbage Sorting Game & Dramatic Play

Use the 4 trash cans and 40 garbage sorting cards to play a garbage sorting game while learning about waste management and recycling. Finally, use the wooden spoon, wooden rake, and plastic cups to pretend to be a community helper and clean the environment.

The perfect combination of these toys and tools teaches about the community and provides an eye-popping, fragrant, and tactile experience for children of all ages! Enjoy!
